The quality and length of your life is directly influenced by your lifestyle and discipline. Most people do not possess the latter. Create your own discipline. Let it be a daily five-minute gymnastics in the morning or a set of breathing exercises. Don't follow the trend (for the same fitness), but create a wellness formula that will work just for you.
Severe dietary restrictions, strict diets are unhealthy things. There should be variety in food - preferably in accordance with your body constitution and lifestyle. And balance. The main thing is a sense of proportion.
Cumin, nutmeg and cloves are the three main spices for long life. Keep them always at hand. And of course, don't forget the ginger, cinnamon, and cardamom. Add them ground wherever you can - in soups, in rice, in main courses, and cardamom and ginger in tea or coffee. All these spices help to "ground" - to calm down, to feel solid ground under your feet.
Healthy food is one that you cook yourself. Consume as much warm food as possible, especially in cold weather. Ideal food should match our body temperature.

In Tibetan medicine, we recommend drinking boiled water and boiling it for at least five minutes. Especially if you have digestive problems. It is generally accepted that we should only digest solid foods. But we also digest water! Raw water - heavy, boiled - much lighter, it strengthens the immune system, good for the throat, stomach, liver and digestive system. Have you ever felt, after drinking a glass of raw or bottled water, a heaviness in the stomach, bloating? Boiling water is especially beneficial in the cold season. A glass of warm, well-boiled water with a spoonful of honey on an empty stomach and half an hour before meals is very useful, especially for women. This drink, by the way, promotes weight loss - if you drink four glasses a day.
As for meat, you need, again, to adapt to the individual characteristics of the body. In addition, in particular, what is your digestion. For some, meat is useful, but for others it is better to limit it. But every day it is, of course, not necessary for anyone. Once or twice a week is enough. Spinach, spirulina, mushrooms, not to mention legumes, are excellent substitutes.
Many modern people, including the youngest, have weakened kidneys. They are most at risk during the cold season. Sit less on cold or wet areas - especially for women. Kidney health is fundamental to women's health. And dress for the weather. It is believed that drinking cold water with lemon in the morning is beneficial, that it is a detox. But keep in mind that lemon has cooling properties, which can also weaken the kidneys. Therefore, be careful with such a drink, especially in winter. A hot drink with ginger and lemon, or with tea, is much better. Ginger warms and stimulates digestion.

Sauerkraut or a glass of kefir contains billions of beneficial bacteria, many times more than a capsule of artificial, much less digestible probiotics. According to nutritionist Drew Barrymore Kimberly Snyder, daily consumption of fermented foods restores the balance of intestinal flora, helps to reduce and stabilize weight, improves skin condition and improves overall body tone.
Fats for weight loss. Fitness trainer Zana Morris, in her 2015 book The High Fat Diet, explains how a diet high in animal and vegetable fats works: by skipping carbohydrates for 10 days and increasing the amount of fat that does not increase insulin levels, you switch the body to a burning mode, and no fat storage. In combination with daily intense 12-minute workouts, this diet allows you to lose about 4-5 kg in two weeks.
Steamed green vegetables as a source of antioxidants. Steamed green vegetables like asparagus, kale and spinach store far more antioxidants - carotenoids and ferulic acid - than cooked ones. A couple of minutes is enough until the vegetables are soft.
Tomatoes against cancer. Freshly cooked tomato paste and stewed tomatoes contain twice the carotenoid lycopene, which reduces the risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease and protects our cells from the harmful effects of the environment.
