Mistake # 1. Dry hair that is too wet
No matter how paradoxical it may sound, it is worth drying already slightly dried hair. After you get out of the shower, dry your hair thoroughly with a towel, gently squeezing out the moisture, in no case rubbing it, otherwise this can lead to injury to the hair structure. So, in order to start styling with a hairdryer, the strands must be 60-65% dry, that is, by definition, no water should drip from them. Otherwise, working with too wet hair, you may not achieve the desired result in styling, and even lose volume and smoothness.
Mistake # 2. Pay insufficient attention to the roots
Yes, they also need care, attention, care and love, that is, in styling products and proper drying. We usually use a hairdryer along the entire length of the hair, not reaching the roots. From here there is a "sleek" effect, as if the hair is dirty and crushed by a hat. To make the hairstyle look like you just left the salon, apply a little special product for root volume, drive it well into the hair at the base all over the head, lower your head vertically down, and dry your hair this way, beating the strands at the roots with your fingers. Returning to the standard position, comb through your hair, brush it slightly to smooth the ends, or leave the textured option if the look requires it. Next, fix the volume with hairspray, spraying the product not only from above, but also under the hair, at a distance of 20-25 cm. This will help you achieve perfect volume without any extra effort.
Mistake number 3. Dry from the ends

Most of us begin to dry our hair from the ends, while it is necessary to start from the roots, as if moving moisture lower and lower. A brush or massage comb will help you with this perfectly, with which you will comb your hair during drying. So the process will take much less time.
Mistake # 4. Incorrect use of styling products
Having bought one heat protectant to protect hair, we hope that it will not only save them from high temperatures, but also add volume, shine, hold and much, much more. Remember: each product has its own functions, and if the jar says "for root volume", this does not mean that the spray will also protect against overheating. In general, read the description carefully and do not be afraid to use several tools at once.
Mistake # 5. Using the wrong brush
Remember, styling with a brush with a metal base will look neater than with a plastic one, but the first one does more harm (if used incorrectly) than the second, since it works on the principle of irons. The metal heats up and the hair straightens (much faster) when it comes into contact with the hot brush. So for daily drying it is better to choose a plastic one: due to its structure and physical properties of the bristle, it will allow you to more thoroughly separate the hairs and evenly warm the hair.
Mistake # 6. Do not use hairdryer attachments

We are referring to that tapered nozzle that you tend to lose during the first days after buying a hair dryer. In fact, you desperately need it. Thanks to her, the hot air of the hair dryer blows in a concentrated manner - precisely on those strands to which you direct it, and not immediately on the whole head. At first it may seem that this nozzle slows down the drying process, but the opposite is true. The directed concentrated air of the hair dryer is hotter, so the drying process is more thorough, and by narrowing the air flow with appropriate styling, you will give a tangible root volume.
The main recommendation when using the nozzle: do not set the temperature of the hair dryer to the maximum, so as not to dry your hair. The drying process should take place at an average temperature, and only to obtain maximum smoothness (of course, not every day) the temperature can be increased. And the second important point: in order not to injure the hair structure, try to direct the hair dryer along the surface of the hair, and not perpendicularly.
