From the school biology curriculum, we all know that blood type and Rh factor are transmitted genetically from mom and dad. However, only a few can tell about how this or that group affects our life, behavior, diseases to which we are susceptible.
What blood types are there?
Regardless of ethnicity, gender, race, or any other trait, there are four blood types. The oldest and most widespread in the world (found in about 40% of the population) is the first group 0 (I). The most rare is the AB (IV) group. Its existence in 1907 was proved by the Czech physician Jan Jansky. It is important to note that it was formed as a result of the mixing of the Mongoloid and Indo-European races. At the moment, only 5% of the world's population have blood group IV.
Blood type and your personality
Every year, research is carried out around the world to illustrate how blood type affects a person's character and behavior. For example, in the land of the rising sun, it is generally accepted that it is blood that determines the character and individual characteristics of a person. Japanese researchers believe that this may be due to the evolution of the quality characteristics of blood due to changing climatic conditions and human lifestyle.

Now in society there is a certain system for assessing personality by blood type. According to this system, the owners of the first group are classified as pioneers, inclined to take risks - they are better than others at making volitional decisions. Representatives of the second group can be characterized as calm creators and hardworking performers. The third group is restless individuals who are constantly striving for something new. But people with the fourth group are considered unpredictable, multifaceted and non-trivial. However, there is no clear scientific basis for this classification.
Blood type and health
According to some scientists, depending on the blood group, people are more or less susceptible to various diseases. For example, experts from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden came to the conclusion that the risk of getting cancer in people with the first blood group is higher than in the rest. They are also more likely to experience gastric and duodenal ulcers.
But representatives of the second group are less likely to suffer from oncology. This is due to their body's greater ability to produce antibodies that fight viruses and microbes. It is important to note that cancer, like any serious illness, affects not only a person's physical health, but also mental health. Therefore, after defeating him, it is extremely important to undergo rehabilitation in a special center - for example, the Sheredar Foundation (for children and adolescents under 18) - or at least visit a psychologist (see also: “Cancer Mythology: How to Fight Oncophobia”).
With regard to the dependence of the risk of contracting coronavirus infection on the blood group, doctors and scientists disagree.

PS:
Human lifestyle plays an essential role in the occurrence of diseases. In particular, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption and an immobile lifestyle can cause many serious illnesses. Regardless of the blood type, in order to stay healthy as long as possible, you need to eat a balanced diet, move a lot (10 thousand steps is the daily norm), drink more fluids and undergo a full-fledged medical examination every year.
